After winning the third successive game in the Egyptian Premier League, Ahly coach Mohamed Youssef expressed gratitude for his players and predicted that the team’s performance will rise even higher in coming games.

Ahly defeated ENPPI 1-0 in the 4th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League at Cairo Stadium on Thursday.

Ahly and ENPPI created few clear-cut chances in the game while the latter's defender Mano made sure Ahly came out with all three points when a cross was deflected off him in the 67th minute.

"Players did a fine game against ENPPI and managed to snatch the three points of the game as well as keeping on top of Group A," the Ahly coach was quoted as saying on the club's official website after the game.

"The players’ performance will improve in the coming games as we have new faces in the squad that need time to be in harmony with the team," Youssef added.

Two new Ahly signings made their debut during the match, when former ENPPI frontman Ahmed Raouf and Burkina Faso striker Moussa Yedan came on as second-half substitutes.

"We shouldn't harry on the decision of the new signing players as they still need games to improve," said Youssef.

Cairo giants Ahly have cemented their position at the top of Group A with nine points from three games, while ENPPI lie sixth on four.

Ahly defeated El-Entag El-Harby 2-0 in the first matchday of the Egyptian Premier League then enjoyed the victory over Smouha in the third mathday, before beating ENPPI on Thursday.
