Ismaily slump to first defeat in Egyptian League on Sunday after losing 2-1 to Wadi Degla

Ismaily tasted their first Egyptian Premier League defeat this season after two thunderbolts from their ex-winger Mohamed Abdel-Wahed gave Wadi Degla a 2-1 win on Sunday.

Abdel-Wahed stole the limelight with two thumping shots in the 9th and 19 minutes to give Degla a surprise win at the expense of Ismaily, who are second in Group B.

Ismaily's Egyptian international midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou side footed home in the 32nd minute but Degla, who had to thank veteran goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary for pulling off a string of impressive saves in the second half, held on for a convincing victory.

Degla climbed to the fifth place with eight points.
