Ittihad of Alexandria salvaged a last-gasp draw to ensure spoils were even with Smouha in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.

Newly-signed Belgian striker Jeanvion Yulu-Matondo headed in the all-important leveler in the 95th minute to cancel out Ahmed Hamoudi's 48th minute strike.

The draw extended Ittihad's unbeaten run to seven league games this season as they now lie fourth of Group A on 11 points, whereas Smouha are second with 13.

Elsewhere, another match also witnessed a killer strike, with Petrojet overcoming Ittihad El-Shorta 1-0 in the 90th minute – courtesy of a Hisham Abu-Khalil goal.

The narrow win cemented Petrojet's position on the top of Group B with 17 points, three clear of second-placed Ismaily – who were held to a 1-1 draw with Talae El-Gaish a day earlier.

Meanwhile, Arab Contractors' three match winning streak came to a halt after playing out a goalless stalemate with Maqassa.

Contractors remain top of Group A with 15 points, three ahead of Ahly who entertain Ghazl El-Mahalla later on the day.
