Ismaily's poor displays in the Egyptian Premier League continue as they are held to a 1-1 draw by Beni Suef Telephones on Tuesday
Ismaily squandered an opportunity to go level on top with Group B leaders Petrojet after being held to a 1-1 draw by minnows Beni Suef Telephones in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday.
Egyptian International defender Shawky El-Said gave Ismaily an early fifth-minute lead but Ibrahim Mubarak secured a share of spoils after converting a penalty with seven minutes remaining.
Ismaily remained second of the group with 20 points, two behind group leaders Petrojet. Zamalek can leapfrog Ismaily if they win their two games in hand.
Beni Suef Telephones, who also held Zamalek to a draw in their previous match, moved ninth with 10 points.
