Ahly midfielder Hossam Ashour is ready to boost the team in Sunday's league's clash against Maqassa after recovering from flu, the Cairo giants announced late Friday.

The 28-year-old player missed the team's 1-1 draw against ENPPI last Wednesday, but he rejoined the training session Friday morning without any problems.

The Reds, who were embarrassingly ejected from the Champions League last week, currently lie in Group A in fourth place with 20 points, six adrift of leaders Smouha and three behind second placed Ittihad of Alexandria, who are two games ahead.

The winners and runners-up will advance to a four-team mini-league to determine the champion.
