Ahly trio Mohamed "Gedo" Nagy, Shehab Ahmed and Mahmoud "Trezeguet" Hassan are set to make their comebacks from injuries after they were all declared fit to take part in the Confederation Cup's group-stage playoff against Morocco's Difaa El-Jadida on Sunday, the club's website said.

After missing Ahly's 1-0 league win over Arab Contractors, Egypt's forward Gedo and midfielder Shehab could now feature for the Cairo giants after recuperating from their respective back and knee injuries.

Young midfielder Trezeguet could also take part against Difaa – who were pitted against Ahly after the African champions were ousted from the Champions League last-16 – now that he has recovered from an ankle problem.

In a different context, Ahly's football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz announced that the return leg against Difaa has been brought forward one day to take place on 27 April at El-Jadida's Stade El-Abdi .

The first leg will take place at the Air Defence Stadium behind closed doors.
