The Senegalese national team will arrive to Cairo Thursday night for the anticipated 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt Saturday.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is sending its public relations manager, Alaa Abdel-Azizi, to Cairo International Airport to welcome the delegation, which comprises 45 members, coming from France — where the team held their final preparation camp — by private jet.
The event will exceptionally be cheered by 25,000 fans at Cairo Stadium starting 7pm Cairo Local Time (GMT +2).
Egypt's health ministry underlined that all members of the Senegalese delegation will be medically checked before entering the country amid concerns over the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa.
Senegal are scheduled to hold a training session Friday night at the same arena.
The Lions won the first leg at home to be the Group G runner-ups with seven points, three behind leaders Tunisia and only point before hosts Egypt who are in the third place.
In the last round, Wednesday, Senegal will be hosting Botswana, while the North African leaders will play the Pharaohs.
