Egypt U-20 manager, Diaa El-Sayed, insists that the young Pharoahs can win the World Cup.

“I want to win the Cup but I am focused now on the group stage,” El-Sayed was quoted as saying on FIFA's official website.

The Egyptian youth national team will start their World Cup trip in Colombia on 29 July against Brazil before they meet Panama and Austria.

“We are in a tough group but the players can prove their worth by qualifying to the next stage,” he added.

El-Sayed hailed his squad describing goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shinnawey as “a brilliant keeper” and called Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Hegazy “stars.”

“There will be no major changes in the team. I will depend on the same squad who won the third place in Africa Cup of Nations to achieve global glory.”
