Egypt's Under-20 team have ended their preparations for the Austria match in the third round of the group stage of the World Cup early Frriday.

“We will smash Austria 3-0 as we are here to compete for the title,” said the young Pharaohs’ coach Diaa El-Sayed during the post-match press conference.

Egypt were able to hold Brazil in a 1-1 draw and passed Panama 1-0.

“Before matches, I always like to reiterate that I respect all our opponents. I had respect for Brazil, Panama and now Austria,” El-Sayed was quoted as saying on FIFA official website.

The Egyptians are catching audience attention in Colombia and some see them playing in a Latin style.

In the other camp, the Austria coach is in a must-win situation as they lie on the bottom of Group E with a solitary point after a draw with Panama and a defeat by Brazil.

“The team’s playing well but if you don’t score you can’t win. We’re hoping to remedy that in the clash with Egypt,” says Austria coach Andreas Heraf.

“I’m not going to change the way I see the game. I’ll show respect for each and every opponent through to the final against Colombia,” Egypt coach El-Sayed said.
