Manchester City's striker Kelechi Iheanacho could make his second appearance with Nigeria when they face Egypt in the Nations Cup qualifiers, Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh hinted on Monday.

The Super Eagles will host the Pharaohs on 25 March in Kaduna before facing them again four days later at Borg El-Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

Oliseh said that Iheanacho's recent form may earn him a starting role against Egypt in both matches.

The 19-year-old scored nine goals for Manchester City this season, including a hat trick against Aston Villa in the FA Cup last month.

"I have not sent out my list of invited players yet," Oliseh told Nigerian newspaper vanguard on Monday.

"But with the kind of goal he came on to score (for Manchester City against Tottenham) recently I am looking very much at him.

"In fact I hope to move up to Manchester, but I am just waiting on some little things to be sorted out then we will have that done."

Iheanacho joined Manchester City in January 2014, a few months after claiming the FIFA U-17 World Cup golden ball.

Nigeria are second in Group G with four points, two behind leaders Egypt who collected maximum points from easy wins over Chad and Tanzania.

With only the group winners guaranteed automatic qualification for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria will be desperate to beat Egypt.
