Egypt will not face DR Congo as scheduled on 29 of this month after Pharaohs coach Hector Cuper decided on Monday to cancel the game.
Cuper's men are set to start their preparation for the Tanzania clash in the Nations Cup qualifiers on Thursday, with the friendly against DR Congo made as part of the preparation programme before its cancellation.
Egypt, who are on the verge of reaching the Nations Cup for the first time since 2010, need to avoid a 4-0 loss when they face Tanzania away on 4 June to secure their place in next year's continental competition.
The seven-time African champions are leading the group G with seven points, five ahead of second-placed Nigeria and six clear of third-placed Tanzania.
