Egypt will play two friendly games against Guinea and South Africa amid preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Egyptian Football Association (EFA) board member Ehab Lehitah announced.
"We have reached an agreement to play two friendly matches against Guinea and South Africa on 30 August and 6 September respectively," Lehitah was quoted as saying on the EFA official website on Wednesday.
"The first match will be played in Egypt while the second will be abroad," he added.
In late June, World Cup-hungry Egypt were drawn in a tight group at the qualifiers' final round alongside Ghana, Congo and Uganda.
Under the Guidance of Argentinean coach Hector Cuper, the Pharaohs will be eying to break their World Cup streak and reach the football world’s most prestigious showpiece for the first time in more than two decades.
Under the 60-year-old boss, Egypt have already secured a place at next year's Africa Cup of Nations finals for the first time since 2010.
The seven-time African champions, Egypt, have made only two World Cup appearances, both in Italy in 1934 and 1990.
