Egypt have fallen four positions to 24 in the FIFA global football rankings published on 1 June, after placing 20 last month.

The Pharaohs, who were ranked in the global top ten in 2010 during their golden era after three successive Africa Cup of Nations wins (2006, 2008 and 2010), are still dominating Africa in FIFA's July ranking.

Losing 1-0 to Tunisia in the opening group game of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers affected Egypt's ranking this month but manager Hector Cuper believes his side will bounce back from their loss.

Egypt opened their Group J games of the 2019 Nations Cup qualifiers with the 1-0 loss to Tunisia in June. The group also includes Niger and Swaziland.

Egypt is three places ahead of Senegal (27), Democratic Republic of the Congo (28), Tunisia (34) and Cameroon (36).

They have also kept their lead among Arab countries, above Tunisia (34), Algeria (48), Morocco (60) and Saudi Arabia (61).

The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup winner Germany replaced Brazil in the global ranking lead.

Andorra were the best mover this month, jumping 57 positions to rank 129th, while Namibia made the worst move, dropping 62 places to 156th.
