Egypt secured their place in the semi-final of Nile Basin friendly Tournament after defeating Uganda 1-0

An injury time goal by Mohamed Nagu 'Gedo' sealed the three points for the Pharaohs against Uganda 1-0on Saturday to secure the top of the Group A.

Substitute Gedo brilliantly intercepted a  ball inside Uganda's dangerous area and slotted the winner in the 93rd minute.

Uganda, who won their previous game over Burundi, were very cautious and didn't take any risks upfront to secure their defense and try at least to get out with a point against the hosts.

They were just seconds away to achieve their target until Gedo made his move leaving them battling with Burundi and Tanzania to clinch the second qualifying spot of the group.

Egypt are in the driving seat of the Group A with 6 points while Uganda are second with three points two ahead of Burundi and Tanzania who drew earlier in the day.
