Togo French coach Claude Le Roy expressed his anger about the narrow time between the matches against Egypt in the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Egypt are scheduled to host Togo on 14 November before travelling to Togo to play the fourth round of the 2022 AFCON qualifiers on 17 November.

“How could we play two games within three days only? This doesn’t happen even in Europe during the current circumstances. We have to give the players a break, the situation is very tense and I am angry, but we will fight,” Le Roy told On Time Sports TV channel.

“Egypt possess many exceptional players like Mohamed Salah, and I know all the other players pretty well, they are all at the top form of football,” he added.

The 1988 AFCON champion with Morocco revealed the football map in Africa now has been changed, giving an example with their match against Comoros which in the past would have been an easy encounter but at the end they’ve lost.
