The Pharaohs started on Sunday their preparations for their upcoming clashes against Kenya and Comoros in the Nations Cup qualifiers.
Egypt will face Kenya away from home on Thursday before hosting Comoros at Cairo International Stadium on Monday 29 March.
The local-based players underwent PCR tests on Sunday morning before starting training on Monday after receiving the tests' results.
Players who play abroad will join the training camp on Monday after finishing their duties with their respective clubs.
The Pharaohs’ coach has called-up five foreign based players among his 28-man list for the two games.
The five players are Mohamed Salah (Liverpool, England), Mohamed El-Neny (Arsenal, England), Mahmoud ' Trezeguet' Hassan (Aston Villa, England), Mostafa Mohamed (Galatasaray, Turkey), and Ahmed Hegazi (Ittihad Jeddah, Saudi Arabia).
Egypt are leading in Group G of the qualifiers with seven points, leveling with Comoros.
The first two teams in each group will qualify for next year's African Cup of Nations, which is set to be played in Cameroon.
