Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny and Aston Villa winger Mahmoud “Trezeguet” Hassan trained with Egypt’s national team on Tuesday morning ahead of the Pharaohs’ 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier matches against Kenya and Comoros on 25 and 29 March respectively.

Egypt started its preparatory camp on Sunday and foreign-based players have been joining in since.

Liverpool star winger Mohamed Salah trained with Egypt’s squad on Monday, one day after arriving to Cairo, while Ittihad Jeddah defender Ahmed Hegazi will join the team in Kenya.

Meanwhile, Elneny and Trezeguet arrived to Cairo on Monday after featuring in Sunday’s Premier League games.

Zamalek’s left back Abdallah Gomaa, who was called up on Monday instead of his fever-hit teammate Ahmed Abu El-Fotouh, was also available in Tuesday’s session.

The Pharaohs are the top of Group G with eight points and need at least a point against Kenya to secure their passage to the tournament.

The first two teams in each group will qualify for next year’s African Cup of Nations, which is set to be played in Cameroon.

The Pharaohs will take off to Nairobi later on Tuesday ahead of facing Kenya.
