The referee blows his final whistle, Egypt 2-0 Mozambique

86:00 Mozambique's Miro tries his luck from distance but his shot is easily collected by Egypt keeper Essam El-Hadary. A rare attempt by the visitors.

85:00 Egypt are moving the ball around smoothly in midfield. A win looks all but assured.

80:00 The final substitution for Egypt, Wadi Degla midfielder Ashour El-Taqui replaces Hosni Abd-Rabou.

77:00 Mozambique are piling on pressure in an attempt to reduce the arrears. It looks highly unlikely that they can salvage a draw.

75:00 Mozambique make their second substitution, Whiskey makes way for Carlitos.

72:00 Ibrahim Salah, who came on as a second-half substitute, is booked for a foul on Mozambique's Mexer.

70:00 The first substitution for Mozambique, Eduardo Jumisse is replaced with Diogo Alberto.

65:00 Bradley makes the second substitution, central midfielder Ibrahim Salah comes on instead of Temsah.

63:00 Zidan collects a defence-splitting pass from Temsah, sends a right-foot shot that strikes the post before deflecting off Kampagno's back and into the net. Unlucky keeper.

63:00 GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAL FOR EGYPT!!! MOHAMED ZIDAN DOUBLES THE PHARAOHS' ADVANTAGE.

61:00 Egypt are seemingly going to enjoy an easy ride for the remainder of the game.

60:00 Mohamed Zidan slips as he sends a low right-foot shot, which misses the target.

56:00 Towering defender Ahmed Hegazy nods a cross into the path of defensive partner Fathallah at the far post to slot home easily, with no Mozambique defenders in sight.

56:00 GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL FOR EGYPT!!! CENTRAL DEFENDER MAHMOUD FATHALLAH SCORES THE OPENER.

49:00 Mozambique push forward in the early stages of the second half, can they spring a surprise in Alexandria?

47:00 Bob Bradley makes his first substitution, the ineffective Gedo is replaced by Mainz forward Mohamed Zidan.

The second half is underway.

The referee blows his half-time whistle, Egypt 0-0 Mozambique.

44:00 Abd-Rabou squanders Egypt's best chance so far!! He is picked out by a superb chipped pass from Salah but his mis-hit volley from inside the area let him down.

43:00 An angled free-kick from Hosni Abd-Rabou is blocked by Kampagno, Mozambique's best performer tonight.

40:00 Five minutes remaining before halftime, Bob Bradley will have plenty of things to discuss with his players in the dressing room. Very poor performance from the Pharaohs.

36:00 Abou-Treika is trying to unlock Mozambique's defence with some neat passes but his teammates have so far failed to make use of them. Ahly striker Emad Meteb, who is sitting on the bench, could be an option in the second half.

29:00 Despite Egypt's control of possession, they are still finding it difficult to create genuine goal-scoring chances. Their attempts are restricted to some tame shots and crosses.

28:00 A free-kick from Mozambique's Zainadine Junior goes high over the bar. The visitors have the first sight of goal.

27:00 The match is too boring. The fan cheers are sorely missed.

22:00 Recalling his time as a Tersana keeper in the Egyptian Premier League, Kampagno still looks over-weight. But this is hardly affecting him in the game, at least until now.

19:00 Gedo wastes another chance for Egypt!! Elmohamady skips past his challenger on the right and whips in a cross from the byline but Gedo's weak header is blocked by Kampagno, who is going a great job.

17:00 Veteran playmaker Abou-Treika looks as sharp as ever. He still defies the critics who are calling on him to hang up his boots.

14:00 A superb back-heel pass from Abou-Treika finds Salah, whose shot is saved by Kampagno. Egypt are laying siege to Mozambique's area.

12:00 Forward Ahmed Temsah, who is making his competitive debut, sends a shot high over the bar from the edge of the area.

10:00 Salah is making some darting runs down the right flank. Right-back Ahmed Elmohamady remains at the back to close down spaces.

09:00 Salah runs onto a superb precise pass from Abou-Treika but his effort goes into Kampagno's hands. Salah and Abou-Treika are causing menace to Mozambique's defenders.

07:00 Gedo also tries his luck from distance, but his weak shot fails to trouble Mozambique's keeper. Egypt are having the upper hand.

05:00 The first Egyptian attempt on goal!! Salah neatly exchanges passes with Abou-Treika on the edge of the area but his low shot goes wide.

02:00 Egypt are looking to control possession from the very beginning. Skilful attacking midfielders Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Abou-Treika will play the key role in Egypt's build-up play.

The match is underway.

19:50 Both sides step onto the pitch, few minutes before kick-off. The 86,000-seat stadium looks dull without spectators.

19:45 Mozambique’s goalkeeper Rafael Kampango plays for Egyptian second-division side Tersana.

19:25 It hosted the opening U-20 World Cup game between Egypt and Trinidad and Tobago in 2009 and an Egyptian Premier League match between Ahly and Ittihad of Alexandria last year.

19:25 The Egyptian Army Stadium in Borg El-Arab has hosted just two official matches since it was built in 2006.

19:10 The Pharaohs defeated Mozambique 2-0 in their last meeting - a group-stage game at the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

19:10 Egypt’s line-up: Essam El-Hadary, Ahmed Elmohamady, Ahmed Hegazy, Mahmoud Fathallah, Mohamed Abdel-Shafi, Hosni Abd-Rabou, Mohamed El-Nenni, Mohamed Abou-Treika, Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’, Ahmed Temsah

19:05 The Group G game marks the competitive debut of American boss Bob Bradley, under whom Egypt have played 12 friendly games since he succeeded Hassan Shehata last year. Egypt won nine games, drew twice and lost one - a 2-0 defeat by five-time world champions Brazil in the Qatari capital Doha.

19:03 The match will be played behind closed doors due to security concerns. The Egyptian interior ministry has refused to secure any game since February’s infamous Port Said disaster, which led to the suspension of domestic football activities.
