The 22-year-old forward was previously included in Egypt’s squad, however, after multiple changes to the team’s roster, the winger was excluded on Sunday ahead of the final two games in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The Pharaohs are scheduled to face Angola in the fifth round of the qualifiers on 12 November, four days before playing against Gabon in the final round of the African World Cup qualifiers.
Egypt’s coach Carlos Queiroz announced the squad on Saturday, calling Zamalek’s defender Mahmoud Alaa and midfielder Emam Ashour, and Turkish side Altay’s striker Ahmed Yasser Rayan.
He also called upon Ahly’s striker Mohamed Sherif and playmaker Mohamed Magdi Afsha once again after previously excluding them from the squad.
However, Queiroz did exclude Zamalek’s in-form midfielder Tarek Hamed and winger Ahmed Sayed Zizo.
Egypt are leading Group F — which includes Angola, Gabon, and Libya — with 10 points after winning three matches and equalising in one game.
