16:20 “We have a good team so we have nothing to fear. Time is our biggest enemy, but we won't hurry. Our first target is to score the first goal to equalise the results,” Cisse told the pre-game press conference on Monday.

16:15 On the other side, Senegal coach Aliou Cisse admitted that his team will face a tough mission against Egypt on Tuesday, as they will be racing against the clock to score goals and overturn their first leg deficit.

15:45 “All the players are ready for the game against Senegal as we have no injuries. I am confident that we will produce a special performance tomorrow against Senegal as we have talented players who have humility and discipline,” the Portuguese tactician added.

“My philosophy is that we are not playing against Senegal, Cameron, Nigeria or Ivory Coast, we play every game against Egypt, we are playing against ourselves. So, if we played well in the last game, we have to play better in the next game,” he concluded.

15:15 On Monday, Egypt coach Carlos Queiroz has affirmed the readiness of his players for the game against Senegal in the second leg, saying “we have talented players who can create magic” during the match.

“We respect Senegal as they have brilliant players with a great coach, but they won’t dominate the ball position for 100 percent of the time. We know them very well,” Queiroz told the pre-match news conference.

14:50 Egypt will be missing central defensive pair who played the first leg will not be available, with Mohamed Abdel-Moneim ruled out after fracturing his nose in an aerial collision with Mane and Mahmoud El-Wensh suspended after picking up a second yellow card in the qualifiers. Egypt coach Carlos Queiroz called up 33-year-old defender Ali Gabr, who was one of the pillars of the Egypt side that reached the Nations Cup final in 2017, and Ahly's Rami Rabia to fill the gaps.
