Refaat, who has been in a flamboyant form this year, has been named in the 44-man preliminary list announced by Galal in May and now he is set to join the team as the Pharaohs star Mohamed Salah and winger Mahmoud Trezeguet will miss the trip due to injuries.

The 25-year old defender El-Mohamadi has also received a late call as Ittihad Jeddah defender Ahmed Hegazi is still completing his rehabilitation program.

The seven-time African Champions won their opening game against Guinea 1-0 on Sunday and are set to travel to Malawi on Tuesday to play Ethiopia in the second round of the qualifiers on 9 June.
