The Pharaohs squad will see the appearance of Ahly right-back Mohamed Hany and forward Mahmoud 'Kahraba' Abdel-Moneim alongside Pyramids FC winger Mostafa Fathi after a longtime of absence thanks to their performance in the club’s continental tournaments.

The 27-year-old Mohamed Hany became Ahly’s regular right-back since the absence of injured star Akram Tawfik, while Kahraba has been the Red Devils' front line savior in crucial games such as when he recently scored a hat-trick during the 4-0 win over Coton Sport of Cameroon in CAF Champions League.

Ittihad of Alexandria right-back Hesham Salah also attracted attention during his participation with the coastal team in the Egyptian Premier League.

Early this month, Vitoria included Canada-based winger Ahmed Hamdy and English third-tier midfielder Sam Morsy in his list of foreign-based players

However, the Portuguese coach ended up excluding Morsy and Hamdy from the final squad.

Also absent from the final list is regular starter Mahmoud Trezeguet, who was excluded due to an injury.

The first game will be held on 24 March at Cairo International Stadium, with the second game taking place on 28 March at the Lilongwe Bingu National Stadium in Malawi's capital.

Egypt is currently third in Group D with three points after beating Guinea 1-0 at home but losing against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.
