The Pharaohs are currently fifth among African countries, trailing behind Morocco (14th), Senegal (18th), Tunisia (31st), and Algeria (33rd).
Among Arab countries, Egypt ranked fourth, behind Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria.
Egypt had previously made it into the world's top 10 teams after winning three consecutive Africa Cup of Nations trophies in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
Argentina retained their top spot in the world rankings, followed by France, Brazil, England, and Belgium, respectively.
In their quest for their fourth appearance in the World Cup, Egypt has been drawn into Group A of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, and Djibouti.
Under the leadership of coach Rui Vitoria, the Pharaohs have been performing strongly, having secured their spot in the 2023 AFCON, scheduled to take place in Cote d'Ivoire in January 2024.
Meanwhile, for the second consecutive month, Morocco has fallen one more place to 14th position but still maintains its position as the top-ranked African team.
