Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was named at the top of the list revealed by Vitoria. Trabzonspor winger Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan also made the cut despite his recent injury.

The international winger opened his scoring account on Saturday when he scored the second goal in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Additionally, Eintracht Frankfurt winger Omar Marmoush and Nantes' striker Mostafa Mohamed were included in the list.

The Portuguese manager also called up Al-Wakrah SC midfielder Hamdi Fathi, Ittihad Jeddah midfielder Tarek Hamed, Khaleej FC striker Mohamed Sherif, CF Montréal midfielder Ahmed Hmadi, and Ipswich Town midfielder Sam Morsy.

Vitoria has yet to announce the list of locally-based players who will join the camp on September 4th.

Having already secured qualification, Egypt will host Ethiopia on September 8th in the final round of the Nations Cup qualifiers before facing Tunisia in a friendly match four days later in Cairo.

The Pharaohs clinched their spot in the continental competition during the previous round, leading the group with 12 points, three points ahead of second-placed Guinea, who secured the group's second qualifying ticket.

Ethiopia handed Egypt their only loss in the qualifiers, defeating them 2-0 in June 2022 under the guidance of coach Ihab Galal, who lost his job few days later.

Since taking over from Galal, Vitoria has led Egypt to victory in all seven games, scoring 17 goals and conceding only two.
