The Trabzonspor player sustained a fractured rib during his team's 2-0 loss to Galatasaray in the Turkish league on Saturday.
Local media reports indicate that the player will require approximately two months to fully recover from his injury.
Despite his injury, the 28-year-old was initially called up alongside eight other foreign-based players for the September camp.
However, he will now be unable to join the squad.
Egypt are set to host Ethiopia on 8 September for a Nations Cup qualifier before enfacing Tunisia in friendly four days later in Cairo.
The Pharaohs have already secured their place in the next year’s Africa Cup of Nations after leading their group with 12 points, three points ahead of second-placed Guinea, who secured the group's second qualifying ticket.
Trezeguet, who made his international debut in 2014, has scored 11 goals in 67 appearances for the Pharaohs so far.
