The camp, scheduled from October 9 to 17, forms part of the Pharaohs' preparations for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Côte d'Ivoire in January 2024.
During the camp, the Pharaohs' will play two friendly matches against Zambia on 12 October and another against Algeria on 16 October.
The list of players announced by Vitoria features Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, and Trabzonspor winger Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan.
Additionally, the Portuguese manager summoned Al-Wakrah SC midfielder Hamdi Fathi, Ittihad Jeddah midfielder Tarek Hamed, Khaleej FC striker Mohamed Sherif, CF Montréal midfielder Ahmed Hmadi, and Ipswich Town midfielder Sam Morsy to join the squad.
Eintracht Frankfurt winger Omar Marmoush, Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed, and forward Ahmed 'Kouka' Hassan, who recently joined Pendikspor in the Turkish League, were also called up for the camp in the UAE.
Egypt secured their spot in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by finishing atop Group D in the qualifiers, accumulating 15 points from six games, alongside second-placed Guinea.
