Egypt's Olympic team announce squad for Jordan, Uzbekistan friendlies

Egypt U-23 national football team coach Rogerio Micale announced on Saturday a 27-man squad ahead of starting the team preparatory camp on Monday.

The Young Pharaohs are set to play two friendly games during the October camp; the first will be against Jordan in Cairo before facing Uzbekistan in Tashkent four days later.

The October camp is part of the Egyptian team’s preparations for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

At 54 years of age, the experienced coach Micale successfully guided Egypt to secure a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics and led them to the final of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, where they narrowly lost 2-1 to hosts Morocco earlier this month.
