The hosts took the lead in the 27th minute when striker Alicher Odilov capitalized on a defensive error by Hossam Abdel-Maguid and slotted the ball past goalkeeper Hamza Alaa.
Uzbekistan thought they had doubled their advantage in the 50th minute, but their second goal was ruled out for offside by the assistant referee.
Three minutes later, the home side were reduced to 10 men when midfielder Makhmud Makhamadzhonov received his second yellow card for a foul on Osama Faisal.
Egypt pressed for an equalizer and were rewarded in the 73rd minute when substitute Bilal Mazhar headed in a cross from Faisal.
The visitors completed their turnaround in the 89th minute when another substitute, Ziad Farag, unleashed a stunning strike from outside the box that left the Uzbek keeper with no chance.
The match was part of Egypt’s preparations for the Olympic games next year.
