Trabzonspor winger Trezeguet told OnTime Sports channel that the Pharaohs deserved to win after playing with 10 men for most of the game after defender Mohamed Hany was shown a direct red card in the 26th minute.

"We need the fans' support and trust. Neither the players nor the technical staff can win alone. We win with the fans and media too, and with their trust," he said.

He added that Egypt's success is not only for the players but for the whole nation.

"This is a strong generation. Even down to ten men, we talked about winning, not securing a draw. We were closer to scoring a second goal after taking the lead," Trezeguet said.

Trezeguet also praised his teammate Mohamed Elneny who returned to the squad after a long injury.

"Elneny's return is a valuable addition to our team, and Mohamed Salah is a star for both Egypt and Africa. Ultimately, we are a group that performs collectively," he said.
