The game will be held at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex in Liberia, as no stadium in Sierra Leone has been accredited by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The Egyptian national team has been drawn into Group A, which includes Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, and Djibouti.

The Pharaohs will kick off their qualifying campaign on 16 November by hosting Djibouti in Cairo, just three days before their clash with Sierra Leone.

Preparations for the two games are set to begin on 13 November, as stated by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).

Egypt aim to secure their fourth World Cup appearance, following their previous participations in 1934, 1990, and 2018.

The winners of each group among the nine groups will earn a direct ticket to the World Cup.

The four best group runners-up will participate in playoffs to determine which team will advance to the inter-confederation playoffs.
