However, he emphasized that their ultimate goal is to qualify for the World Cup, regardless of any obstacles they face.
The Pharaohs secured a 2-0 victory over Sierra Leone in Liberia in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, propelling them to the top of Group A with a maximum six points, thanks to who netted twice.
"We faced a lot of difficulties before the match," Trezeguet told ON Time Sports channel after the game.
"The trip to Liberia was very long, and we played in extremely high temperatures that drained the players.
“However, we are prepared to overcome all challenges because our target is to reach the World Cup, despite all difficulties."
The Trabzonspor winger, who played a vital role in Egypt's qualification for the 2018 World Cup, promised to give his best effort to help the Pharaohs secure a spot in the tournament this time as well.
"Me and all the players will do everything we can to assist the Pharaohs in reaching the World Cup and bringing joy to the Egyptian people," he concluded.
With his two goals against Sierra Leone, Trezeguet increased his goal tally with the Pharaohs to 14 goals in 65 matches.
