The Young Pharaohs will be participating in the fifth edition of the U-23 West Asia Friendly Tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from March 18 to 26.

The draw for the Olympic event is set to be held on March 20 in France.

Having guided Egypt to secure a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics, the 54-year-old Micale also led the team to the final of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, where they narrowly lost 2-1 to hosts Morocco earlier this month.

The West Asia Friendly Tournament will feature eight teams, including Egypt.

Egypt's first match in the tournament will be against the UAE, and the winner will advance to face the winner between Australia and Iraq.
