Egyptian Youth (U-20), Olympic (U-23) and junior (U-17) national football teams will resume their preparations for the upcoming matches by beginning their training camps on Saturday.
“I had a meeting with the technical staff of the teams and we agreed to begin the training camps next Saturday,” the technical director of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), Fathi Nousir, stated on the EFA official website.
All football activities in Egypt had been paused as a result of the ongoing protests in the country. Despite the aforementioned announcement, the return date of the Egyptian Premier League has not been assigned yet.
“We also agreed to organize some training camps outside Egypt, including friendly games, but we are waiting for the EFA board’s approval,” he added.
The Olympic team are preparing for their clash against Botswana next March at Cairo stadium in the opener of the London 2012 qualifiers.
The youth team are preparing for the 2011 ACN U-20 championship, to held in Libya from 18 March to 1 April.
