Egypt U23 skipper Ibrahim Adel replaces suspended Sobhi ahead of World Cup qualifiers

Pyramids FC forward Ibrahim Adel has been called up to the Egyptian national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, replacing Ramadan Sobhi, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Monday.

The Egypt U-23 team skipper will replace teammate Ramadan Sobhi, who was temporarily suspended on Sunday. 

Adel features among three Pyramids FC players called up for the game alongside winger Mostafa Fathi and fullback Mohamed Hamdi.

Egypt will face Burkina Faso on 6 June at the Cairo International Stadium before taking on Guinea-Bissau away from home on 10 June in the World Cup qualifiers.
