The Pharaohs are gearing up to host the Stallions at Cairo International Stadium for the third matchday of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

"All the players are ready to give their all to win the match and secure the three points that will take us closer to our dream of qualifying for the World Cup," Salah told the Ministry of Youth and Sports' official Facebook page.

"We are determined to achieve victory and make the Egyptian people happy. The team spirit is high, and everyone is focused on securing the three points," he added.

The 31-year-old talisman had previously skipped the Egyptian national team's camp in March, opting to focus on his commitments with Liverpool, amid reports of tensions with recently appointed coach Hossam Hassan.

Salah's last appearance for the Pharaohs dates back to the African Cup of Nations game against Ghana in January, during which he sustained an injury.
