"The match was tougher than what the score might suggest, we started well and executed the plan perfectly, which perhaps led some to believe Burkina Faso was an easy opponent. They are a strong team and showed their character in the second half." Hassan said.

"We could have put the game to bed but the humidity affected both teams, and I warned the players about a potential drop in intensity after halftime, which is exactly what happened," he explained.

Hassan highlighted the importance of substitutions in regaining control of the midfield after Burkina Faso's goal.

"The match could have gone either way, but the coaching staff intervened strategically with substitutions, this brought back our control in the midfield after their period of dominance," he said.

"We have a long road ahead with 30 points at stake, there are no easy opponents in this group," he added.

"I believe Adel has a bright future and will be a star for Egypt," he said. He also clarified that Emam Ashour's injury was a hamstring issue, not a back problem, and the player is expected to recover within a few days.

"I've been working on giving Salah more freedom of movement and attacking space, rather than restricting him to defensive duties," he concluded.
