Egypt have been drawn in Group C alongside Cape Verde, Mauritania, and Botswana in the upcoming tournament, set to be held in Morocco from 21 December 2025, to 18 January, 2026.
"Our group is strong, but we are fully prepared for the AFCON qualifiers, aiming to secure the title," stated Hossam Hassan on Thursday.
Hassan, acknowledging the rising standards in African football, added, "The group features strong teams, but we'll be prepared. The players and I are always focused on winning and achieving trophies."
Appointed as the Egypt national team coach in February, the 57-year-old succeeded Portuguese tactician Rui Vitoria.
Since taking charge, Hassan guided the Pharaohs in four games, winning two, one draw and one loss.
