Egypt initiated their 2025 Nations Cup qualifiers campaign on Friday as they faced Cape Verde before their upcoming clash against Botswana away from home on Tuesday.
"Cape Verde are an excellent team," Trezeguet told the pre-match news conference on Thursday.
"The match against them will be tough, but we are also a formidable team."
"We are aiming to secure a win in the match, which would serve as a crucial step in our pursuit of the Nations Cup title."
Trezeguet, a pivotal player for the Pharaohs, has scored 18 goals in 74 caps and has represented Egypt in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, along with the Africa Cup of Nations finals in 2017 and 2023.
Earlier this week, the 28-year-old made a move to Qatari side Al-Rayyan from Turkish club Trabzonspor on a one-season loan deal.
