Egypt will host Mauritania on 11 October at Cairo International Stadium before travelling to Nouakchott for the return leg on 15 October.
The Pharaohs are looking to remain on top of Group C having secured maximum points from their opening two matches against Cape Verde and Botswana.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced the start of the training camp on Sunday afternoon, with the first training session scheduled for 7pm Cairo time at Cairo Stadium.
The local players joined the team today for the training camp, and the coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan, is now waiting for the foreign-based players to arrive and join the squad in the coming days.
