The Zebras, who suffered two defeats in their previous games—losing to Mauritania 1-0 away from home and then slumping to a heavy 4-0 loss at home to the Pharaohs—remain at the bottom of the group.
Despite having the same number of points as Mauritania and Cape Verde, the two teams are distinguished by their better goal difference.
Egypt, who are leading the group C with a maximum of six points, will host Mauritania on Friday at Cairo Stadium before facing them again four days later in Nouakchott.
Botswana will host Cape Verde on Tuesday.
The top two teams in all groups of the qualifiers will reach the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
