The match will be held in Morocco after Djibouti opted to host their home games there, following the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) refusal to ratify any stadium in the East African nation.

Egypt are on the brink of qualification, needing just two points from their remaining two matches against Djibouti and Guinea-Bissau to secure a place in next year’s World Cup.

The game against Guinea-Bissau will take place in Cairo during the October FIFA date, although an official date has yet to be confirmed. The calendar runs from 6 to 14 October.

The Pharaohs currently lead Group A with 20 points, five ahead of second-placed Burkina Faso.

Leaders of the nine qualification groups will earn a direct spot in the World Cup, while the four best runners-up will compete in a playoff to determine the final teams for the inter-confederation playoffs.

Egypt have qualified for the World Cup three times, in 1930, 1990, and 2018.
