Mohamed Zidan has injury worries
Egypt striker Mohamed Zidan will be sidelined for an indefinite period after suffering pains in his foot on Wednesday. The Borousia Dortmund player missed Wednesday’s training session and was sent to the medical examiner.
“The player was sent to hospital to have further examinations to determine the extent of the injury. He will miss training for indefinite period,” stated a posting on the German club's official website. “We hope that his absence will be short,” they added.
The talented marksman returned to action at the start of the month after recovering from a knee injury that kept him away for seven months. Zidan, 29, scored a goal in his first appearance last week in Egypt’s 3-0 friendly against Australia.
