Egypt’s national team have begun a training camp ahead of two friendly games against Ghana and Ivory Coast in January.
“Coach Bob Bradley concentrated on improving the players' fitness during Friday's training session, which featured all the players,” Egypt goalkeeping coach Zaki Abdel-Fattah told Ahram’s Arabic sports website.
“We are employing in training the same tactics we will use in the two friendly games.”
The seven-time African champions will travel to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday to face Ghana and Ivory Coast on 10 and 14 January respectively as part of their preparations for March’s World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.
Egypt, who recently defeated Qatar 2-0 in friendly, will host Zimbabwe on 22 March in their third group-stage match.
The Pharaohs top Group G with six points from two games, three ahead of second-placed Guinea. Zimbabwe and Mozambique have one point each.
