A downbeat Egyptian U-20 squad arrived at Cairo Airport on Monday morning after their early elimination from the World Cup in Turkey last week.
The Young Pharaohs failed to reach the last 16 despite snatching a 2-0 victory over England on Saturday.
Egypt placed third in Group E with three points after losing 2-1 to both Chile and Iraq.
Coach Rabie Yassine expressed pleasure with the victory over England even though it didn’t secure Egypt's qualification for the next round.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said on Sunday that the future of the 52-year-old coach would be decided at the next board meeting.
