The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) received a request from South Korea for a friendly on 6 September amid preparations for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
"We are still studying the offer and asking the technical staff," EFA Spokesman Azmy Megahed told Ahram Sports.
"There are other offers and we will study them all to select the best," the spokesman added.
Egypt will host Guinea next month in an inconsequential World Cup qualifier, having already secured their place in the final two-legged playoff after ensuring they would finish on top of Group G.
The seven-time African champions, who have not qualified for the World Cup since 1990, are the only side to garner the maximum 15 points from five games in the qualifier's second round (group stage).
