Ghana believe the second leg of their World Cup play-off away to Egypt will be difficult because they expect "dirty tactics" from their opponents.

The Black Stars' assistant coach Maxwell Konadu believes that his side could easily overcome Egypt in the first leg in Kumasi on 13 October but he is worried about possible distractions in the second leg.

"I believe we will be able to account for them here. We know how they are like when playing away from home," Ghanasoccernet quoted Konadu as telling Hot FM on Wednesday

"They try to delay the game, instigate unnecessary debates with the referees, try to rattle the opposition with their delay tactics and all just to waste time.

"But I believe we will be able to beat them here but for me the crucial point will be the away game there. We have heard stories in the past of how they used to manipulate even the quality of hotels, food and even water for their opposition in away games but that is no more in play in modern football.

"We also have ways of putting in such adequate preparations and therefore those tricks will no longer work on us.

"The only thing to do is probably set laser lights on our players during the match but I am sure our officials will deal with that quite adequately," he added.

Egypt are eyeing their first World Cup appearance since 1990 while Ghana are seeking to reach the tournament for the third consecutive time, having reached the quarter finals in their last appearance in 2010.
