17:28 Security personnel seize the banner that read "Egypt anti-coup" which was held by a number of Ghanaian fans, Ahram Online's Maher reports. He adds that a few Ghanaian spectators are wearing caps emblazoned with the four-finger Rabaa sign, which represents the Egyptian political camp that supports deposed president Morsi. 

17:18 Bradley opts for a compact and solid midfield with three central midfielders in Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour and Mohamed El-Neny. Experienced and skilful defensive midfielder Hosni Abd-Rabou, who has recently recovered from a long-standing knee injury, is benched.

17:12 Ahmed Shedid is surprisingly included in Egypt's lineup instead of veteran Sayed Moawad. Walid Soliman is another unexpected inclusion in the starting eleven, forming a three-pronged attack with Mohamed Abou-Treika and Mohamed Salah.

17:07 Ahram Online's Hatem Maher reports that a number of Ghana's spectators are holding a banner and placards that read "Egypt anti-coup," in reference to July's ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi. In return, some of the Egyptian spectators chant against the home fans in protest at the political slogan. It's also teeming with rain amid the feverish atmosphere.
