Egypt’s Thursday and Friday trainings in Johannesburg will be private, to keep players concentrated

Hassan Shehata

Egyptian coach Hassan Shehata decided to hold the team’s training sessions behind closed doors ahead of Saturday’s clash against South Africa in the African Cup of Nations 2012 qualifiers.

“Shehata wants to keep the players’ concentration at the top ahead of the game,” a statement read on the Egyptian Football Association official website.

The Pharaohs coach has even prevented the Egyptian media from attending the sessions.

The seven-time African champions languish at the bottom of Group G with just a single point, three behind the South African leaders. They seek full points from Saturday's the game to bounce back in the qualifiers.
