Pharaohs gather for Ghana clash preparations; training camp to include friendly with Zambia on Thursday

The Egyptian national team gathered in the military's Air Defence stadium on Tuesday to begin their closed preparation camp for the Ghana World Cup play-off next week.

The play-off's second leg will take place on 19 November at the Air Defence stadium, located in Cairo's Fifth Settlement. The first leg in Kumasi shocked the Pharaohs with a humiliating 6-1 away defeat.

The seven-time Africa Cups of Nations winners are playing a Zambia friendly on Thursday, amidst trainings for the anticipated clash.

Egypt is desperately biding for their first qualification ticket to the world's most prestigious football tournament since 1990.
