Ahram Online, Tuesday 19 Nov 2013

Egypt announce their Ghana announce their starting 11 for Ghana's game in the second leg of the World Cup qualifying playoff on Tuesday

Egypt coach Bob Bradley made several changes to the side that suffered a humiliating 6-1 defeat by Ghana in the first leg of the World Cup qualifying playoff, opting for a more attacking approach.

One of the surprising changes saw Ahly's Rami Rabiea replace veteran defender Wael Gomaa, partnering Mohamed Naguib in the heart of Egypt's defence although the latter was heavily criticized for a poor first-leg display.

Natural right-back Ahmed Fathi will play as a defensive midfielder. Zamalek's Hazem Emam will replace Fathi on the right flank

Luzerne forward Kahraba will make his first official appearance for Egypt. He is part of a three-man frontline to support lone striker Amr Zaki, who is back to the Pharaohs' fold following a lengthy absence.

Egypt's starting line-up:

Sherif Ekrami - Hazem Emam, Rami Rabiea, Mohamed Naguib, Mohamed Abdel-Shafy - Hossam Ghaly, Ahmed Fathi - Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim 'Kaharaba', Mohamed Abou-Treika, Mohamad Salah - Amr Zaki
